I have the honor to apply for Earl Granville's authority to a sum of £2918:7 for the Post Office, being the amount due to that Department by the Government of Hong Kong for the month of September last, as requested by the enclosed letter from the Colonial Secretary of that Colony.
The amount standing to the credit of Hong Kong at this Office, including a bill on the 7 prox, is about £13,000.
